Ruaha National park, 6 days

2 Oct

Collect from your hotel in Dar es Salaam after breakfast and transfer to Iringa.

Meals and overnight :

Bwawani Global Village Resort

3 Oct

Transfer to Ruaha national park, for picnic lunch and afternoon safari.

Dinner and overnight :

public campsite in the national park

4 Oct

Full day safari at leisure in Ruaha national park. There is also the possibility for a walking safari and/or a boat safari on the Ruaha river (subject to availability).

Meals and overnight :

same public campsite

5 Oct

Another full day safari at leisure in uaha national park.

Meals and overnight :

same public campsite

6 Oct

Morning safari. In the afternoon transfer back to Iringa.

Meals and overnight :

Bwawani Global Village Resort

7 Oct

Transfer back to Dar es Salaam.

Two people are undertaking this safari. There is place for 2-3 more people.

Price :

- if 1 more person : 1530 USD (in single room/tent)

- if 2-3 more people : 1350 USD pp (sharing room/tent)

Hey Mel,

Damn, pretty damn close similar plan but other dates…

Not too far apart so I'll inform you anyways as we also looked for a while for fellow travellers.

Finally we choose to rent a vehicle with driver from Iringa starting September 16th in the afternoon. Driving to Ruaha, sleeping just outside (Chogela probably).

17-18-19 inside Ruaha and sleeping at Msembe (camping or banda's).

20 also in Ruaha still but coming out to sleep again at Chogela or more direction Iringa.

21 driver will drop us at Iringa bus station as we'll move to Morogoro from there.

A looooot looking forward to this one!

Costwise: 700USD for the 5 days car/driver + 20USD per entry day in Ruaha + 20-30USD for sleeping inside Ruaha & a little less outside + food.

We are 2, a Belgian couple.

Probably not interesting for you but anyway…
